If you’re having trouble finding your phone, or if you just want to check its current location, you can use Ping. Ping is a free app that you can download from the App Store or Google Play. Once you have the app installed, open it and click on the three lines in the top left corner. From here, you can enter the phone’s unique ID (found on the back of the phone) or your carrier’s name (in case you wish to track a lost or stolen phone).
With Ping installed and your phone’s ID or carrier name entered, click on the blue “Ping” button in the bottom right corner. This will launch the app and start sending out pings to your phone. You’ll see a map with a yellow dot representing your phone’s current location. The further away from your home or office, the phone is, the bigger the yellow dot will be. If your phone is lost or stolen, you can use Ping to help law enforcement find it!

To ping a phone, you can use the Network Monitor in Windows 10. To do this, open the Network Monitor app and connect to the phone’s network interface. (If you don’t have a network monitor, you can find instructions on how to set one up here.) Once you’re connected, click the “Ping” button and type in the IP address of the phone you want to locate.
