Bookstores that Double as Coffee Shops
If you love cozying up with a good book, chances are you also love cozying up with a mug of delicious coffee. Here are some businesses across the United States that double as bookstores and coffee shops, so you can get the best of both worlds!
By Jayne Turner – Staff Writer
Stories: Los Angeles, CA
This bookstore and café has a variety of books organized by genre, some used, some secondhand, and a killer coffee shop. They have the best chai I’ve ever tasted and a perfect, not-too-sweet mocha. They even have an outdoor patio to enjoy that California sun and a cozy vibe inside. They outsource baked goods, so they always have a different selection of amazing goods!
As if it couldn’t get any better, they host community events on the patio every week. Comedy, trivia, music, the works. As a California native, I’m biased in saying that this café is my favorite!
Black Bird Bookstore and Café: San Francisco, CA
This business aims to be a bookstore open to all – a community space that brings people together through coffee, books, and an open door. Located in a seaside neighborhood in the bay, artists, surfers, and families are called to enjoy the local art and the beautiful garden.
With a diverse collection of books curated by the owner, you’ll never want to stop browsing. Stop by for an art show, a new book, or a cup of coffee.
